Contraindications
Review these conditions before proceeding and follow current orders, protocols, facility policy, and supervising-clinician direction.
- Do not rely on an analyzer that fails calibration, has a damaged or expired sensor, or displays an unresolved fault.
Relative contraindications
Use individualized risk-benefit assessment, added precautions, or a modified approach as authorized for the patient and setting.
- Condensation, extreme temperature, pressure outside the sensor range, leaks, ambient dilution, and incompatible gases or agents may impair accuracy.
